Are you our newest Software Engineer ?
As our newest Software Engineer, you will work in our New York office and join a small but versatile Technology team that operates in a highly collaborative environment.
What will you do?
- Join a collaborative team, working closely with quantitative researchers and traders in enhancing all aspects of our trading system–data acquisition & validation, integration of quantitative models into our trading infrastructure, post-trade workflows and risk reporting
- Work closely with senior members of the team, who will provide mentorship and training
- Collaborate with other teams in the firm to support the firm’s business objectives
- Join a team that is open to using new frameworks and architectures to evolve the technology stack
What do you bring?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering or Mathematical field (Computer Science)
- Three to five years of software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and/or Rust, and familiarity with Python
- Familiarity with messaging protocols (RabbitMQ, Kafka), Web Sockets, and AWS
- Familiarity with SQL and a strong foundation in relational database concepts
- Familiarity with financial data APIs and databases (Onetick/Kdb) is a plus.
- Experience working in a Unix environment
- A track record of utilizing industry standard tools and best practices for design, development, configuration management and implementation
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Salary Range
- The expected salary for this position is $125,000 - $175,000
